As of the 28th of October, we will be closed until further notice.

On the 22nd Feb Prime Minister Boris Johnson laid out the four step road map out of lockdown. Particularly relevant to BARiSTA – CUCiNA are imminent changes on 12th April.

‘hospitality venues will be able to open for outdoor service, with no requirement for a substantial meal to be served alongside alcoholic drinks, and no curfew. The requirement to order, eat and drink while seated (‘table service’) will remain. Outdoor gatherings must still be limited to 6 people or 2 households‘.

Yeah. As clear as mud.

Let’s translate….

The rule of six
The rule of six means a maximum number of six people can meet up from an unlimited number of households.
The rule of two households
More than six people can meet up as long as they are from no more than two households. So for example, a family of four can meet up with a family of five as they are considered two households.

All you need to remember is either the rule of 6 or the two household rule should be followed and social distancing should apply between households.

In addition to this “those eligible to form a support bubble will still be able to do so, enabling close contact for many of those in most need of support, and will continue to be counted as part of the same household.”

What it means for BARiSTA – CUCiNA
We are removing limits of 6 on tables, but will require large bookings of two households to sit on adjacent tables to ensure distancing. When booking with us you agree to follow the rule of 6 or two households. We reserve the right to ask any parties not following the rules to leave.
